Literacy Program – Sign Up Online
The San Benito County Free Library Adult Literacy Program has been helping community members achieve their literacy goals for over 30 years. In January 2007 our literacy program was rejuvenated due to grant funding, committed volunteers, and part-time staff. These pages are designed to support our current tutors and learners, and we have a selection of links and lists of resources that are available at the library. If you are interested in improving your reading and writing skills, or becoming a tutor, you can contact us to find out how to get started.

California Library Literacy Services
The SBCFL Adult Literacy Program receives major funding from the California Library Literacy Services (CLLS), a program of the California State Library. The mission of CLLS is to enable Californians of all ages to reach their literacy goals and use library services effectively. California has approximately 3.4 million adults with below basic literacy skills.
