Halloween Story time and parade team: (left to right) Julia Soto, Youth Services Librarian, Milagros Delcid (Library Assistant), and special thanks to our volunteer Joann.
Our spook-tacular story time and parade was a success.
Children gathered for a short story time followed arts and crafts. The real fun began when the children were given bells, cymbals, drums and other noise makers and we clanged and clashed our way through the library. The children received a standing ovation as they took a bow from library staff and patrons before heading out to the front of the library for gifts and snacks.
Please join us for enchanted stories, fun crafts and a spook-takular costume parade!
Come in costume, bring your noise makers and remember that there will be gifts and snacks for children after the parade.
The Library and First 5 of San Benito are partnering to offer a bilingual story hour on Thursdays at 4 pm. Kids and parents can enjoy stories, songs, and crafts in Spanish and English at the library.
The story time adventure begins in the multipurpose room. Questions about this family program can be answered by visiting the library at 470 5th Street, in Hollister, calling the library at 831-636-4107, or contacting the library online.
This new story hour is a welcome addition to SBCFL’s expanding library programs and services, which include Story Time/Stay & Play on Wednesdays at 10:30 am, Homework Club for grades 1-5 at 3:30 pm, passport processing service available by appointment, special movie and craft days, free one-on-one technology tutorials, and ongoing adult literacy and bookmobile services.
