Mobile Library Literacy Service

Our 32′ mobile Family Learning Center vehicle will visit your facility on a monthly basis, providing resources and services to children 0-5, their parents, and child care providers.

Services Include:

• Storytime featuring stories, fingerplays, songs, movement, and crafts.
• Storytime kits for checkout with a focus on a variety of reading readiness skills that include age-appropriate children’s books: these exciting kitsets include finger plays, puppets, and songs.
• A variety of children’s and adult materials in English and Spanish.
• Free books for children who check out library materials.
• One-hour parenting workshops on the importance of reading to your child provided in English, Spanish, or Bilingually.
• Free Born-to-Read book bags for new mothers. Book bags contain books, information, and resources in English and Spanish to help with healthy development in babies. To qualify for this program, your facility or site must serve a minimum of 10 children between the ages of 0-5 year of age.
