Unite for Literacy The Colorado Library Consortuim (CLiC), Douglas County Libraries and Unite for Literacy, a Colorado-based publisher funded by sponsorships, have partnered to provide access to more than 120 free ebooks for young children. The Project Shares early literacy titles.

ProLiteracy A resource for tutors Proliteracy provides up to date information and articles, links to conference and training information and a weekly newspaper to share with learners.

Starfall This site has games, resources and stories for beginning learners with a focus on phonics as the teaching method.


Software Resources for Digital Literacy

We have a variety of resources available in the library. Literacy learners may use the computers for 2 hours of time at each online learning session.

  • Mavis Beacon Typing Tutor
    This easy to use program has typing exercises for the beginning typist to the advanced typist. Exercises are accompanied by clear audio instruction.
